Q4: How can I take advantage of the recall?
Consumers located in Florida, Texas, Georgia and Alabama should immediately contact Paradise Grills to schedule a date for completion of their free repair. This includes labor and a new vent.
Consumers located in all other states should immediately contact Paradise Grills to receive free shipment of the vent, installation instructions, and reimbursement for the installation cost by a qualified professional or technician. The firm will require a copy of the installer’s invoice or billing statement (marked “Paid”) for the installation service. We ask that you submit the invoice or billing statement at safetynotice@paradisegrills.com.
Q5: What is the problem with my outdoor kitchen?
If the grill’s burners fail to light on the first attempt and the grill is left unattended, LP gas can accumulate inside the closed lid and cabinet, which can cause an explosion when you attempt to relight the grill, posing fire and burn hazards.
Q6: My grill appears to be operating okay. Can I continue to use it?
We prefer you wait to have the repair, but if you choose to use it please follow following safety requirements: before igniting the grill, open the grill’s lid and the access doors directly underneath the grill and leave the access doors open at all times while the grill is in use. After attempting to light the grill, if you do not detect heat after 30 seconds, turn off the burner ignition knobs and gas supply and let any built-up gas dissipate for at least ten (10) minutes before trying to light it again.
Q7: I no longer have my Sales Agreement for the Outdoor Kitchen. Can I still participate in the recall?
Yes. We will search our records for a copy of your Sales Agreement. Please provide us with: (i) your first and last name; (ii) email address; (iii) phone number; (iv) approximate date of purchase; and (v) location of purchase (showroom or home/boat/RV show) and we will promptly call or email you back. You can still participate in the recall even if you are not the original purchaser.
Q8: How long will it take for me to receive the repair?
If you are located in Florida, Texas, Georgia and Alabama, we will schedule and complete for you a free service call within the next 8 to 10 weeks.
If you are located in any other state, we will ship the vent to you within 2 weeks along with written installation and reimbursement instructions.
We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you we are working as quickly as possible to repair your product.
Q9: Can I repair the product myself?
No, please hire a qualified professional or technician with the proper tools required to make the cut-out and correctly install the vent. We will reimburse you for the installation labor cost upon our receipt or your installer’s invoice or billing statement (marked “Paid”) for the installation service. We ask that you submit the invoice or billing statement at safetynotice@paradisegrills.com.
