Fortified by lava and pressure

Mount Vesuvius is widely regarded as one of the most historic and powerful volcanoes in the world. Located on the Gulf of Naples, Italy, best known for its famous Avellino eruption around 1800 BC.

The eruption produced deposits of aluminum, diamonds, gold, nickel, zinc, and copper, all contributing components to Italy’s solid surface porcelain stone innovation.

The Italian stone advantages

  • Lifetime color fade-resistant
  • Stain resistant and easy clean up
  • No sealing required
  • No oxidation
  • UV resistant
  • Easy maintenance
  • Smooth desirable finish
  • Best stone surface for outdoor use

Why DON’T traditional outdoor surfaces work outdoors?

A red prohibition symbol (circle with a diagonal line) is centered on a white and gray marble background.

Marble:
Beautiful but porous, and stains on contact. Impossible to match.

A circle filled with a dark, speckled terrazzo pattern is overlaid with a red prohibition symbol, indicating something is not allowed.

Quartz:
Dangerous and combustible around heat. Hot cookware burns and permanently stains when used outdoors.

Granite:
Weathers easily and is impossible to match. Dated style and color combinations. UV sensitivity.

A red prohibition symbol overlays a background of light gray tiles arranged in a diagonal grid pattern.

Tile & Grout:
Cheapest way to build with low-cost tile, grout lines, and heavy maintenance. Must be sealed monthly. Popular in the 1980s, but do you really want to buy a VCR or dial-up internet…

American technology

NASA, since its founding, has been the dominant world leader in the advancement of aeronautics and space science.

NASA’s new innovative honeycomb structure is extremely strong, providing a desirable alternative to the aluminum frame architectures currently used for most aircraft and space shuttle airframes.

This cutting-edge six point hexagon technology that is now also utilized by the Space X program has a load-bearing capacity that exceeds 1,600 pounds per square inch.
